Nation's Student Leaders Select Next U.S. President in ...Mock Election
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 11:55 AM by khephra
LAS VEGAS, June 30 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Perhaps providing a glimpse of things to come in the November U.S. Presidential election, John Kerry defeated George Bush by winning the electoral college and losing the popular vote in a mock election held by the National Association of Student Councils (NASC). Approximately 1,500 students from across the country went to the polls during the 68th NASC national conference and chose Kerry to be the 44th President of the United States.

After reviewing information on both candidates and discussing issues amongst their peers over the course of the conference, students voted on Tuesday June 29th to give Kerry 683 votes and Bush 780. However, thanks to battle ground states like Florida and Arizona, Kerry carried the electoral college by 41 votes.

1. Only problem is they aren't using DIEBOLD in those battle ground
states in their mock election. :/ I truly believe Kerry would win if not for the crooked voting machines and crooked states such as Florida. You put them into the mixture and I'm not sure what we are going to get, but I'm not feeling good about it.

4. Not really....they gave Bush 100 more votes......

which means, in a different array of states, Bush could win the electoral votes, too!!!

What the hell were this students looking at? What the heck is their reasoning? These are "student leaders..." What about the ones that don't even think at all????

AP story the recent polling, at the very end, states that this could be an election based on "news." Which means, any big event could sway the election...such as...an Osama "capture"????
