Activist: E-Voting to Be a 'Train Wreck'

By RACHEL KONRAD, Associated Press Writer

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Ambushing registrars and tracking down executives at their homes and offices, a literary publicist has uncovered conflicts of interests and security flaws inside the companies that make electronic ballot machines.

Searching the Web and poring over newspaper clippings, Bev Harris has unearthed obscure arrest records, ties to conservative political groups and other embarrassing secrets of senior executives at voting companies.

Her conclusion: there will be so many problems with the more than 100,000 paperless voting terminals to be used in the November presidential election that the fiasco will dwarf Florida's hanging chad debacle of 2000.

1. good girl Bev, she said the same on Ed Schultz's show
she also said the major networks had the story in the can, waiting for "sweeps" week--- Bastards---- by then it will be too late. She said they need a couple thousand volunteers to test and catch the machines making errors on election days, starting with the primaries in August and September

volunteer here www.blackboxvoting.org

6. Bev Harris' web address
blackboxvoting.org IIRC

I've talked to my Elections supervisor about E-voting. Methinks I made a wee-bit of a positive impression. The last time we talked she told me other supervisers - at a state meeting - were talking about the inherent problems.

There is a house bill HR2239 winding it's way thru congress, call your rep and let 'em know what you'd like done.

Kerry has heard about the problems. Maybe they've lined up some Dem programmers? hehehehe
