http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=68980

BAGHDAD, IRAQ - One U.S. soldier was killed and three others injured in a road accident early Wednesday, a U.S. military statement said.

The statement said the accident occurred shortly after midnight on a road near Ramadi, 70 miles west of Baghdad.

A tire on a military truck blew out and a second truck swerved on to the median, rolled over and burst into flames, the statement said.

non-hostile death - no story here - move along citizens

1. Truck swerved, rolled over, burst into flames
All by itself?

Sorry, Charlie. That only happens in the movies. I'd bet there was a bit of ballistic assistance somewhere in there.

3. Why do they even try to
cover up this crap?! A "road accident"? Really? In the middle of a goddamned war/insurection? You're right - leave this "bursting into flames" shit for the made-for-tee-vee-movies! Christ!

2. Tire BLEW OUT? Yeah right. Those tires don't blow out. Shot out, maybe.
Modern tires don't blow out without a little help - unless they are on an aircraft which bounces too hard on the tarmac.

4. But Halliburton probably supplied the tires...
I think they should sue the damn company that is responsible, just like what was it...Goodrich? when all those Ford Explorers were rolling over!

Half kidding.

RIP.

5. Firestone - and it was probably at least half Ford's fault because they
set the inflation recommendations too low (and tires overheated) to compensate for the tendancy of the Explorers to roll over. Imagine that.
