Kerry now leads in Oregon, Arkansas a toss up...
Rasmussen reports Kerry with a statistically significant lead in Oregon, and within 1% of Bush in Arkansas.

1. I'm proud of my state
We are going to de-Shrub Oregon.

"Among Oregon Conservatives, Bush leads 75% - 18%.  Moderates prefer Kerry 60% - 30% and Liberals favor the Senator 83% to 9%."

Wow.

3. I'd have to say there's nothing "conservative" about this administration's
policies....so I think that label is inaccurate. 'Politically clueless" would be a better descriptor of the 75% who'd vote for Bush. The 18% against Bush may very well be Conservative, in the classical sense of the word.

4. Yep, that 18% is about the right proportion of conservatives
who have a functioning brain. The rest are always mindless drones of one sort or another.

6. I agree with that part of your take
The term "conservative" is misapplied. There's nothing about this administration that is "conservative" in the true sense of the word.

2. Clinton will deliver Arkansas ...

Had they let Clinton off the leash in 2000, he would have delivered Arkansas and won the presidency for Gore.

They won't make the same mistake this time around. The glitz from the BJ scandal has worn off and Bush has far more real problems than all the fake bullshit they accused Clinton of.

They'll ask Clinton to campaign this time. And Clinton WILL deliver his home state of Arkansas.

10. Yeah he will deliever it to his wife in 2008, Don't trust the Clintons
Edited on Mon Jul-12-04 07:22 PM by Prodemsouth
Hillary was out there in CA telling big donors they are going to raise taxes. You don't tell people the truth about that ask Mondale and Dukasis. We should be at his book signings telling him "we are not going to wait for 08". Any hint that he tossed this election means
No Vote for the wife in 08.

16. Hillary is smart enough ...
... to understand the consequences of this election. If Kerry doesn't win in 04, I don't think there WILL be an 08 election.

Shit, the Rethuglicans are trying to cancel the 04 elections as it is. Four more years of there shit and our democracy will be gone!!!!!

poster above you are right. But I think they want the party to think they are the only ones who can save us.

12. Gore was kind of between a rock and a
hardplace though. Remember that the GOP was trying very hard to link him to the Clinton "scandal." And Clinton was still in office. Gore was trying hard to appear as his own man and not associate himself too much with Clinton and all the negativity that was associated with him. That was a major reason, I think, why he chose Lieberman as running mate--because Lieberman was absolutley squeaky clean. Even without Clinton, had it not been for the cheating in Fla. he'd be President now. So I don't think its really fair to blame Gore for the outcome of the election. He had a lot of tough decisions to make as to how to go with the campaign. The one thing I wish he would have done was to not pull out of Ohio. He didn't lose by much and that would have made the stolen election in Fla. not matter. But then again, he disn't have the money that Kerry has, so he was limited in that respect too! This time around its different. Kerry was not part of that Administration and its been 4 years so to a lot of people that made a big deal about Monica just don't care anymore. I do hope Clinton is used to help Kerry. If he campaigns in Ark. I think they can win it.

21. Rally held June 26
Nader needs 1,000 valid sigs to get on ballot.

1,100 people show up.

Lots of them are Repubs, some Dems show up to disrupt.

Sigs are collected, turned in.

Takes 3-4 weeks for Secretary of State's office to verify.

Looks like it will be close.

19. would you please stop jumping up and down...
Virginia is going to be a very tough nut to crack for Kerry. Don't kid yourself. If JFK takes VA, it's all over. Over-confidence this far out is lethal. Yeah, northern VA is substantially Dem. but the state leans GOP in the predsidentials and the Bushies are HQ'd there for a reason.
