The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is seeking to bid for offshore oil blocs in three African countries namely Angola, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, as a key diversification programme.

Already, a team of investment experts drawn from the NNPC subsidiaries namely the National Petroleum Investment Manage-ment Services (NAPIMS) and the Nigerian Petroleum Develop-ment Company (NPDC) has been constituted to study the various licensing rounds recently thrown up by these countries.

Speaking to newsmen at the weekend, NNPC Group Managing Director, Engineer Funsho Kupolokun, said its crude oil producing arm, the NPDC, will be used in bidding for the offshore blocs offered by the African nations.

Participating in oil licensing rounds in these countries, he added, will be part of the overall offshore investment profile the NNPC will be pursuing aggressively.

note: good luck with that - with oil men in charge of the US and willing to illegally and immorally invade sovereign nations and rig elections - do you think you're really in control of ANY resources, most especially oil? Puhleeeeze!
