SaudiArabia acknowledges its militants may be fighting in Iraq(against US)
The Associated Press

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (July 13, 6:18 am ADT) - Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef has acknowledged for the first time that Saudi militants may have gone to neighboring Iraq to fight against the U.S.-led occupation force. Previously, Saudi officials have vehemently denied fighters were leaving the oil-rich desert kingdom and close U.S. ally to fight in Iraq.

"Surely, there are Saudis (in Iraq)," the prince told reporters late Monday. "But the number, and how (they got in to Iraq) is not available to us now."

Hundreds of such militants, the minister said, are detained in Saudi custody and some have been tried and convicted. He did not say how many were arrested or provide a number for those convicted, but Prince Nayef said more trials would be held.

Iraqi officials have repeatedly said Saudis were involved in the fighting in Iraq. On Monday, Iraq's Human Rights Minister Bakhtiyar Amin said the government had 99 foreign fighters in detention, including 14 Saudis.

1. The US media
only mentions foreign fighters entering from Iran or Syria. Never a word about Saudi Arabia. Gee, I wonder why that is?

2. The thing about the United States and Saudi Arabia...
...our monarchs--House of Bush and House of Saud--love each other. Our extremists--freepers and jihadists--hate each other. Freepers worship the House of Bush. I wonder if the Saudi jihadists worship their rulers.

4. Can someone help me understand.....
why the Saudis would fund terrorists, who are determined to get the Saudi Royal family out? We've read about Saudis financing Madrasas; religious schools which teach their kids to hate the US, and yet these SAME people want the Saudi royal family out?

(scratches head) I just can't figure it out....

the Saud legitimacy and hold to power is linked through their guardianship of Islam, aka, their version of Islam. This is the edit, they believed they are able to control their missionaries but obviously they got out of control!

The US has always viewed Saudi Arabia as an oil pump and totally disregarded its role as a Muslim guardian state based on its near location to the holy sites of Islam;i.e, Mecca and Madina.

6. Doesn't really make sense, does it? But the current cross-hairs of U.S.
racism are focused squarely on the Saudi Arabians, all of them, as well as other Arabs and Muslims. Even Michael Moore found it easier to follow the currents of racism and focus solely on "the Saudis" than breathe a word of the Neoconservative architects of the current wars.
