Chalabi lashes out at US (blames Brahimi)
(Asharq Al-Awsat) – The Head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, said UN Envoy Lakdhar al-Ibrahimi was behind the US campaign against him. Chalabi said his disagreement with the US came to a head when the Americans insisted on Ibrahimi's help in forming the transitional Iraqi government. Chalabi accused the former top civil administrator L. Paul Bremer III of violating different aspects of the Security Council Resolution and misusing Iraqi funds. Chalabi confirmed the deterioration of his connections with the US administration.

(London-based Asharq al-Awsat, an independent Saudi paper, is issued daily.)

5. This guy is a loose cannon
I suspect this slippery little devil is a good candidate to be Baxterized as soon as everyone can agree to what side he's on. I wonder if they will flip a coin to determine who gets to take blame/credit for the deed. In the meantime, Chalabi, keep talking.

7. Another London based Iraqi news service
I generally take this type of source with a big grain of salt. Still you have to love this:

"Chalabi accused the former top civil administrator L. Paul Bremer III of violating different aspects of the Security Council Resolution and misusing Iraqi funds."

Chalabi must have some powerful "friends" if he can say this and live.
