Magistrate Rules Janklow Was On Duty During Accident
Former U.S. Rep. Bill Janklow was on duty when he caused a fatal accident last summer, so taxpayers should pay any civil damages in a wrongful death lawsuit, according to a court ruling Tuesday.

U.S. Magistrate Arthur Boylan sided with U.S. Attorney Tom Heffelfinger's conclusion that Janklow, 64, was on official business Aug. 16 when he sped through a stop sign near Trent and collided with motorcyclist Randy Scott, 55, of Hardwick, Minn.

Boylan concluded that the federal government, not Janklow, should be listed as the defendant in the lawsuit filed by Scott's mother, sister, son and daughter.

1. 100 days in jail
So there's rape number one for the family (and us) then WE have to pay the damages (the family and us again.) Rape number two.

2. So the amurin tax payers have to fund this lawsuit?
:wtf:

Asshole janklow should be paying his own way. Hopefully there will be some good trial lawyers that point this out in court, as they sue his ass to kingdom come.

11. Just because he was "On Duty" doesn't relieve him of responsibility
All it does is bring in his boss as well. If his boss (tax payers) can't control his drinking and driving then they should be held liable. It would be the same if one of my drivers showed up to work drunk and I allowed him to drive a company truck and he had an accident. I should be held liable if that were to occur. Maybe if this happens enough the boss will get the message. Most Republicans are a liability to the tax payers and they should wake up to that fact.
