Bush's warmup act (Dennis Miller) takes swings at Kerry, Byrd, Clinton
For those who don't know, Miller used to be a comedian.

http://kvoa.com/Global/story.asp?S=2040809

<snip>

Opening a rally at a Green Bay, Wisconsin, sports arena, Miller branded Kerry a serial position-changer. He said if the senator's "core beliefs vacillate any more, he's going to have to get an OnStar button installed in the middle of his forehead."

Miller then took off after another senator -- Robert Byrd -- saying he's "off his gourd" -- and former President Clinton, saying that getting him to write an honest book -- quote -- "is like asking Brittney Spears to sing a capella."

At a recent New York event attended by the Democratic hopeful, Hollywood celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg, denounced Bush as a liar and a warmonger.

10. Honestly man!
Even before he became a GOP sellout, he was AT BEST, the second worst comedian I'd ever heard (the worst being Rodney Dangerfield).

44. Agreed.
Rodney Dangerfield is the real deal. If Rodney is the worst comic the poster has ever heard, that's not such a bad track record. He or she needs to hear some more comics.

I used to think he was funny but he's become tired and stale. This was revealed most clearly when he was on "Real Time with Phil Mahr". Without a telaprompter and a writer Miller could not come up with anything original, pithy or even humorous to say.

5. I Used To Think Miller Was Smart
He actually made me feel ashamed in 1993 for laughing at the jokes against Stockdale.

And still, Miller made me laugh at other things and not feel guilty. I loved his rants, even the ones that weren't so liberal

But I've lost all respect for Miller. It isn't for being Republican, it is for being Republican because "George W. Bush has restored honor and dignity to the White House."

How can I respect some one so deluded whose values are so out of whack?

22. No, Dennis will soon wind up in Branson, Mo.
Can't wait for the Dennis Miller Theater in Branson, you know, the 50 seat ampitheater between the Osmond Brothers and Yakov Smirnoff Auditoriums!

Knowing Dennis, he's too lazy to do more than 3 or 4 weeks per year, so he will probably have other Branson greats like Jim Stafford, Andy Williams, Foster Brooks, Loretta Lynn and the Lost In Space Robot headline the rest of the time...

23. Wow
listening to Miller is like being stuck with your dad as a teen ager driving across the country with the radio broken, no batteries for your walkman, and he won't shut up the whole way..

pathetic, boring, getting uglier by the minute.. and sometimes I wonder if he doesn't have Hodgkins disease or something else..

he has this way of shivering or making faces that he didn't used to have and it's DISTURBING.. when he does it I want to stick a belt in his mouth so he doesn't have a fit where everyone can see it..

Ever since Arieanna Huffington gave him a ration of shit for reminding her of Nixon and Sammy Davis Junior, he's been lost in the humor department..

I think that one remark hit him to the soul and he never recovered..

he lays low cause he doesn't want us out here in TV land to reprise these golden rips on his loserness..

What's Cheney and BUsh going to call one of their cult humor heros next?

The StayPuft Marshmellow man? Probably get him confuses with the Michelin Man and blow the humor..

they have NO sense of humor because that involves laughter and humanity and all they want to do is KILL and RAPE and PILLAGE...

Edited on Thu Jul-15-04 02:34 AM by socialdemocrat1981
You are meant to be funny and provide people with entertainment and enjoyment. You just sound like what you are –a bitter and disappointed loser who has never been able to match the calibre or intelligence of your counterparts on SNL and who has now decided to totally abandon all your principles and values to get some cheap publicity and some brownie points with the bunch of losers who occupy the White House.
