'Fahrenheit 9/11' may yet show up near Crawford

Michael Moore's record-breaking documentary about President Bush is a hit nearly everywhere -- except in the rolling hills near his ranch.

But Moore and some peace activists want to change that by screening Fahrenheit 9/11 somewhere around Crawford.

Even the side of a barn will do, activists say.

The undisputed box-office champ among documentaries has brought in $93.8 million, surpassing the $84.4 million domestic haul of its closest rival, the IMAX film Everest. But Waco area theaters in the largest city closest to Bush's spread aren't showing Moore's film about Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq after the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Skip Londos, who founded Friends of Peace, said his group would love to host the movie in Crawford, about 20 miles west of Waco.

1. I am surprise they had it where I lived
Bowling for Colimbine was not shown here, and we had to fight the local public library for a year to make them buy the DVD of it.

3. Crawford Peace House rocks!
And here's the link to the editorial writer that asked for a copy of the dvd in a brown paper wrap since Waco theaters wouldn't show it.

Dear Mr. Moore:

Everybody is talking about your new movie, Fahrenheit 9/11. They're talking about it in cities like Dallas and Austin where it is packing theaters. But in Waco all we can talk about is the talk. Our theaters aren't showing you.

It's a good little read. Glad to see Moore is helping Friends of Peace and the Crawford Peace House out. Heck even people from Waco will be welcomed I'm sure.

Sonia

4. When does CPH plan on showing it?
They haven't updated their site lately - no word on the Dallas Peace Center site, either.
