Iraq Says It Will Hit at Countries Backing Rebels
DUBAI (Reuters) - Iraq (news - web sites) is ready to retaliate against countries it accuses of supporting violence wracking the country, the country's defense minister warned Tuesday.

Hazim al-Shaalan mentioned no countries by name but accused old foe Iran of "blatant interference." Iraq has also complained in the past about guerrilla fighters entering the country from Syria.

"We are prepared to move the arena of the attacks on Iraq's honor and its rights to those countries," he was quoted as saying by the London-based Asharq al-Awsat newspaper.

"We've spoken to them and confronted them with facts and evidence, but none of them have taken any action to stop supporting terrorism in Iraq," he said.

2. Attacking Syria &/or Iran
If this US Puppet govt. attacked either and those countries both sent in troops to Iraq it will mean thousands of US Troop deaths. I haven't researched the stats of Syrian forces but I did on Iran; at least 350K troops. Iran would probably use chemical weapons. An attack on Iran would be extremely stupid and both countries at once would be insane.

3. By the way, how is the construction of those 14 military installations
coming along?

How do the Iraqis feel about the Americans moving into their country after giving them sovereignty and now dictating how the country should be run?

How do they feel about the new butcher of Baghdad?

It would be interesting to see `Alawi invade Iran and Kuwait, just for the sake of irony or stupidity (or both).

14. I figure shrub will start the fighting any place he can while still in
office...things don't look good for him now so he is going ahead and getting us involved...because then...we can't pull out, and the sheeple will be afraid, and maybe he can keep his job.

I wonder what the US soldiers think of all of this.

19. It's pretty obvious that Iran has been interfering in Iraq's internal
affairs - it's not like the two countries have a record of friendship.

I don't think it's necessarily a set-up for Bush to get involved in Iran - though he may use it as one. Iraq has a real problem here - with no army, how do they defend their borders? This problem was foreseen by many opposed to this invasion, and was a primary reason for opposing it.

21. i can't believe you'd think that
iraqis have enough problems as it is...i'm highly doubtful that this chatter is anything other than a trial balloon sent out on orders from the shrub cabal.

iraqis want peace, and to rebuild what we've destroyed. their "leaders" don't speak for them, and i don't think even these iraqi puppets really want more conflict.

29. why?
These accusations of outside interference aren't new. This recent statement could be on the orders of Washington, but that doesn't mean the underlying problem isn't real. Whatever government Iraq eventually forms will have to deal with attempts from outside agencies to influence their internal politics.

27. It's ALIIIIIVE!!!
Look at what we've done. Aren't we proud of ourselves? We have created a monster, in our likeness, as we have before. What military will Iraq be using, pray tell? Oh.. I see.. with the billions in oil profits, they'll be poised to buy billions in military equipment from Carlyle, Halliburton, etc. We're not exporting democracty, we're exporting capitalism... but only as it benefits us.

This is, by far, the most crooked.. evil.. twisted.. and apocalyptic presidential administration in America's history. Unless we want to see our kids drafted into a war on Iran, then Syria, then we have to work our asses off to make sure he does not steal the election again. Bush will not win the popular vote, but he is planning to rig the electoral.
