5. They didn't say...
They really didn't give much more information than what is in that link. Three dead and no mention of who they are.

8. Thankfully they were at least able to
kill more Iraqis than the number of soldiers killed.

</sarcasm>

I thought they were not releasing enemy body counts.

Cheers

9. Dead most likely soldiers
Unless they're giving sightseeing tours to GOP contributors, like when the USS Greeneville took out a Japanese fishing vessel, killing 9.

11. Seems doubtful that contributors would enjoy this excursion
But if they are looking for a thrill, they could always enlist.

12. I see they updated the link...
Spokesman for the marines says no casualties in last 24 hours!

I count 4 killed from links here. :grr:

And why is a Shrub child (twig) sticking out her tongue getting so many responses and these threads die? :grr:

15. Reuters: US denies reports of downed helicopter
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 12:57 PM by omshanti
edit: oops, 2 minutes too late!

"We have not had any casualties in the past 24 hours and no downed helicopters," a spokesman for the U.S. Marine Corps in western Iraq (news - web sites) said.

Iraqi police in Ramadi had said a U.S. helicopter was shot down during fierce fighting in the city, and that three crew were reported killed.

16. Could be
"Security contractor" chopper with mercs onboard. Or Marine spokesman lying.
