Greenspan had to resort to beseeching corporations to hire people. The pathetic old bastard simply won't admit that he has no idea what to do. Or perhaps he has admitted it, but the message is lost in his use of obtuse hyperbole.

3. These layoffs are more indicative of a problem at Mitsu then

the economy in general. Check in the neighboring states and you'll see that Honda and Toyota aren't laying anyone off.

June car sales were soft, but the industry is nowhere near as bad off as Mitsu.
