More troops killed in July than in June...

"At the moment, (Allawi's) only effective forces are the US and coalition military," said Juan R.I. Cole, a professor of Modern Middle East and South Asian History at the University of Michigan who is considered a top U.S. expert on Iraq. "They clearly have no idea how to do counter-insurgency effectively and have been steadily losing the country, a trend I expect to continue."

"It's nothing new - this kind of violence is continuous," said Sabah Kadhim, spokesman for the Iraqi ministry of the interior. "It's obvious that the (American-led military) does not know Iraq, and does not understand Iraqis."

This just shows how DESPERATE the terra-ists are, how much they hate freedom, they hate it so much they want to disrupt it... just when freedom is starting to bloom under brave Mr. Allawi...

5. But the NYT says there's a 'reduction' in casualties since the transfer
Adam Nagourney, yesterday:

"In Iraq, the transfer of sovereignty has led to some reduction in American casualties."

Sorry- I've posted this before but it just galls me. Not only does it build a lie to shield Bush but it's too much like when Wolfowitz was asked about the casualty count and missed it by a couple hundred. I'm waiting for a reporter to ask Bush if he knows.

6. Well, you know how the librul media lies
They're just saying casualties are reduced to make Bush look bad!

I wonder, is a lobotomy actually required to write for the Times now, or can you just promise to park your scruples and conscience for the duration of your tenure?
