This has only been covered on our local cable channel so far. Allegedly, an anti-abortion domestic terrorist group is targeting the 'liberal' media at the convention site in Boston.

2. Why we didn't break it
We heard about this last evening and felt it was too "inside baseball" to report it. The threat isn't to anyone other than the media.

Group May Attack Media at Democrats Convention: FBI

BOSTON (Reuters) - The FBI said on Friday it was investigating "unconfirmed information" of a possible attack on media vehicles during the Democratic National Convention, which begins on Monday in Boston.

"The FBI has received unconfirmed information that a domestic group is planning to disrupt the Democratic National Convention by attacking media vehicles with explosives or incendiary devices," the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Boston field office said in a statement.

9. The few who weren't kissing junta butt in Iraq had their hotels shelled
and now any in Boston who don't comply with Rove's dirctives are threatened? Hmmmm, when they gonna figure out reporting the junta party line may save their jobs but reporting the truth may just save their lives?

Note to reporters, don't give in to terrorists. It only encouraes them to do more violence to get their way. And some terrorists wear suits and ties.

11. You all think it's a joke, but remember how RW extremists can be
Edited on Fri Jul-23-04 10:01 AM by kysrsoze
Remember the abortion clinic bomber, McVey, the bomb cache found in SE Texas. These fringe people do some messed up stuff. I'm more worried about something like this than Osama Bin Laden releasing WMDs on the convention.

I'd say there's a much bigger chance of something happening at the Dem convention than the Repub convention.

12. If anything, it's an attempt to keep the media from covering the...
...Democratic Convention. The NeoCons want the barest minimum of reporting coming from that convention.

13. FBI probing information
not the repubs convention, it seems like it's always the dems, whether it be an attack by anthrax or something else, something fishy here.

The FBI (news - web sites) said on Friday it was probing "unconfirmed information" that a domestic group is planning to disrupt next week's Democratic National Convention by attacking media vehicles with explosives or incendiary devices
