Can Kerry Catch Up? Polls Show Bush Holds Lead
Although that's not the headline on the link, it is verbatim the headline on the AOL main news page! F'ing unbelievable!

Here's the link to the article (AOL users only; be sure to vote in the poll!):

Bush Holds Slight Lead in Electoral Votes
By RON FOURNIER, AP

BOSTON (July 24) - John Kerry narrowly trails President Bush in the battle for the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House, as he makes his case at the Democratic National Convention this week to topple the Republican incumbent.

With three months remaining in a volatile campaign, Kerry has 14 states and the District of Columbia in his column for 193 electoral votes. Bush has 25 states for 217 votes, according to an Associated Press analysis of state polls as well as interviews with strategists across the country.

3. They're trying to stir the public's interest in the convention
The election is still up for grabs just like it was six months ago and like it will be the day before the election.

But ya gotta have new and exciting headlines...

7. Not on CNN
All of the polls mentioned on CNN today showed Kerry ahead or equal to Bush. They also showed an overwhelming percentage (83% I think) who believe the country is going the wrong direction.

Junk as it is, it's TW's oportunity to have it both ways and provide some balance to HBO and some of their other librul Hollywood holdings.

10. They don't like the ever-widening margin...
...between Kerry/Edwards and Palpatine/Vader, so they're looking to spin it in anyway possible that Bush is actually leading. Hell, if they had bothered to do their homework (or ignored Rove's memo), they would know that most electoral count predictions have Kerry ahead. Jesus, I'm sick of living in this news wasteland.

They're going to keep pulling this shit until November to make the stolen election seem plausible enough for the masses.

13. It's the "Perpetual Dead Heat" meme!
They'll NEVER admit that Kerry is pulling ahead. Aside from it making Bush unhappy (or worse, making him push a panic button), it keeps the media in the money because people will stay tuned in. And of course if people believe the election is close, they'll be easier to fool if it's stolen again.

You have cut to the quick of the situation. They will continue these lies about how close the election is as a distraction from the truth. And yes, it will be hard to refute them when they once again steal the prize.

What's that taste in my mouth?

15. Good. This is fine.
The best way to motivate people is to make them feel the urgency of their involvement. The best way to keep the Dem party on its toes and ensure that Kerry voters (or anti-Bush voters) continue to pay attention and actually show up at the polls on election day is to continue to push the fact that the race is astonishingly close.

18. There is only 1 poll that matters.
The only poll that matters is the one that comes out at the end of November 2nd. All other polls are BS. If you need any reinforcement of how inaccurate polling is, just look back at the Iowa primaries.

23. What's so unbelievable about propaganda?
We've been exposed to it for a 100+ years. Notice the Wal-Mart commercials lately with a woman talking about what a great and promoting manager she has?

Corporate and govt propaganda make up 99% of the mainstream now. Read a few of the best sellers on propaganda, it's totally believable.
