Floridians Get Pre-Affiliated Voter Forms
hope this isn't a dupe.

July 25, 2004

When a group of new Americans left their naturalization ceremony in Jacksonville, Fla., last month, they were handed voter registration forms that had already been marked in ink for the Republican Party. NPR's Phillip Davis reports.

3. guess so...
but what i am wondering is what advantage this gives them since the folks who get reg. rep. can still vote for who they please.

5. It would make a difference in primaries
A registered republican would only be able to vote in a Republican primary. No?

7. Perhaps they have a few thousand they're planning to mail
in bogusly?

Anyone know if Florida managed to change the law so that absentee ballots did not require witness signatures? Republicans won't win fairly. They'll have to find ways to steal the election.

8. Floridians don't scream.
At least not human screams. They have already been taken over by the pods.

9. I fought for Gore in 2000,
I marched on Tallahasse, my testimony on what I witnessed at the polls in 2000 was used by the NAACP (with the help of Greg Palast) to fight the repukes in court here in Florida. I fought for Dems in 2002 throughout central Florida.

We ARE NOT f*cking pod people!

Interesting how people can be so stereotypical...grouping people into one term... Floridians, Californians, Texas, southerners, etc..

Tsk..tsk...

13. I am not worthy...
I have tried to get politically involved, but it's been difficult to find kindred spirits in my county. My hat is off to you.

12. Surely something can be done, you'd hope!
This is COMPLETELY underhanded.

It would stand to reason the Governor's office has something to do with this.

Thanks for the news, katusha. This leaves a person really sick of their underhanded, disrespectful, dishonest methods.

They deserve to lose again.
