Couldn't be there this time, but I did catch the lead story on KGW's local news- and to my surprise they actually had fair coverage of the protesters. The story focused on no-bid Halliburton and they showed the Halliburton "wheel of fortune," where every spin lands you on... Halliburton! Hopefully there'll be some images on Portland Indy Media later tonight. The report stated that about 250 people were there.
Next up was a bit on Enron's contributions to Bush/Cheney- along with Peter Defazio demanding that they return the money. The report also noted that Gordon Smith (R) and others had donated their Enron money to charity....

1. I remember skimming through some book about |

bush haters (it was a neo-con book, I always like to see what the neo-cons are saying) and the first chapter was all about bush getting harassed in portland to a pretty severe degree.
Any firsthand observers of what was deemed I guess you could say "Little Beruit II"

Actually, the demonstrations in PDX have been so big and popular that I recall the local media covering them better and better as time went on.
Channel 2 even kept live coverage going late into the night after the demonstrations that followed the outbreak of the war, the ones in which cyclists slowed down the freeway and there were sit-ins on Burnside downtown.
