Poll shows Democratic candidate losing ground to Bush |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 09:12 AM by deminflorida
"A majority of voters say they know little about John F. Kerry's positions on key issues and want the Democratic presidential candidate to detail specific plans for handling the economy, Iraq and the war on terrorism when he addresses the Democratic National Convention and a nationally televised audience on Thursday, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll". http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5524805/

Voters "want the Democratic presidential candidate to detail specific plans for handling the economy, Iraq and the war on terrorism".
But a president who hasn't given any of the above is OK?

Bush has taken America to the depths of division... with tragic results..
Its not about Kerry.
ITS ABOUT BUSH, HIS INEPTNESS, HIS FACADE, HIS BEING TOTALLY UNPREPARED FOR THE POSITION, AND HIS OVER THE HILL CREW.
Kerry more than proved his worth,,, bush has not

This poll could be accurate.
I wouldn't be surprised that undecided, but likely Kerry voters, would stay undecided just before the convention ... waiting to hear from Kerry himself.
So, this may be a rationalization, but the good news in this poll is that people are curious and want to know more about John Kerry. I think they will like what they see and hear and the polls will then resume the move to Kerry.

7. Just when you thought your head might explode... |

"Cheryl Utley, 43, of Lowell, Mich., would seem to be exactly the kind of voter Kerry is targeting this week. Utley, a restaurant worker, is an independent living in a battleground state. She is leaning toward Bush even though she has supported Democrats more often than she has Republicans. "I have more of a sense of where he stands on things than Kerry," she said.
Utley wants Kerry and the Democratic Party to talk about domestic issues, specifically education and "what they plan on doing about health care for middle-income or lower-income people."
"I have to face the fact that I will never be able to have health insurance, the way things are now. And these millionaires don't seem to address that," she said."
