Pakistan holds 'top al-Qaeda man' (Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani of 98 bombings)

Pakistan says it has arrested a top Tanzanian al-Qaeda suspect, who has a $25m bounty on his head.
The suspect was someone "most-wanted internationally," said Pakistan Interior Minister Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, quoted by Reuters news agency. <snip>

The suspect is alleged to have been involved in the 1998 bombings of US embassies in East Africa.

"The Pakistani president said the arrested person is Tanzanian who is married to an Uzbek woman, and who is wanted by the United States," the Arabic television station al-Arabiya said, quoting President Pervez Musharraf.

Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani appears to match the description, as given on the FBI's most wanted list.
