http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/news/s_205951.htmlLike two passing ships in the night, President George Bush and Sen. John Kerry might just catch a fleeting glimpse of each other sometime this afternoon on a highway near the tiny Washington County town of Claysville.
To say Claysville is getting ready for a chance meeting of political giants or that its 750 residents are all a twitter over the prospects of seeing bus caravans for both presidential candidates rumble through town would be a lie.
But on Friday, as townsfolk geared up for the annual Firemen's Festival set for today, there was hope that the candidates might both at least pass by the sleepy little burg via Interstate 70 this afternoon. Maybe even at the same time.
"We're having our festival and if anybody shows up we'll accommodate them. We'll be glad to give them some time at the mike," said Claysville fire Chief Brad Simms.

"I'm going to start serving refreshments," Jean Hewitt said. "They may meet on that bridge over there and probably give some unsightly gestures or some nasty words."
