Bon Jovi, DiCaprio to join Kerry in Portland (Ore.)

Musician Jon Bon Jovi and actor Leonardo DiCaprio are scheduled to greet Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry at his Portland appearance Friday, his campaign said Tuesday.

Bon Jovi will perform during the free, public event, scheduled for Portland’s Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Gates will open at 10 a.m., campaign spokeswoman Lisa Sohn said.

Sohn said attendees should come early to allow time to pass through security gates and not bring bags or signs. Personal items should be limited, Sohn said.

.. Kerry's campaign added the Eugene appearance to his itinerary Tuesday. Sohn said the appearance would be a small affair and not open to the public. (bummer)
