Sens. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sander Levin, D-Mich., filed a Section 301 petition asking the Bush administration to challenge China's currency practices.

The unusual request of the White House asks the Bush administration to challenge China's artificially pegging its currency to the value of the U.S. dollar at the World Trade Organization.

our textile industry and other manufacturing industries are a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY. we can be blackmailed by China if they decide to invade Taiwan or even Indonesia. there are only 2 show factories now in the United States... and next month a new treaty will be voted on and will send our entire Textile industry to Asia. Our factories will be packed up and shipped to china. we will not be able to replace them or retool to even make more machines...

China owns 2.2 Trillion of our debt.. they own us!! they are going to buy everything we own with our own money.. that we gave them by buying their crap and giving them our jobs.
