Kerry takes offensive in TV debate (Canadian Nat'l Post)

John Kerry lashed out at George W. Bush in their first televised debate Thursday, saying he made a "colossal error of judgment" by invading Iraq.

"I can make America safer than President Bush," said Kerry, who critcized his presidential opponent for alienating key allies and shouldering most of the burden of the conflict.

Kerry, in calm, confident tones and frequently smiling, maintained he wouldn't "take his eye off the gold" - al Qaida terrorists responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

3. Typo or not, who cares?
Canada doesn't determine our president so I'm not too concerned if someone misheard a response.

5. No Canadian papers don't determine the president...
But many Canadians follow American politics fairly closely. (Moreso then Americans follow Canadian politics)

Should be comforting to Kerry supporters to see the neighbor to the North's entire media trumpeting his victory in the debates.

And I thought Kerry did a good job. I'll admit I cringe a bit when I hear him speak sometimes. He gets real wordy and goes off on tangents a lot. But he stayed real focused, gave short quick answers to complex problems, and he took it to Bush. If anything my fave part was that Kerry took it to Bush. Dems have to fight harder in events like this.

4. Actually, ALL the Canadian news reports are saying the same
thing....Kerry won by a landslide.

Give us credit for recognizing a dangerous extremist when we see one...even most of our conservatives can't stand and mistrust bu$h!
