Imagine a headline that read "Bush Casts Kerry as a flip-flopper"
Can't imagine it, can you? "Casts Bush as a friend of the wealthy" sounds like it's an artificial ROLE, like Kerry is trying to fit Bush into a label that may or may not fit.

No, such a headline would more like read: "Bush slams Kerry for flip-flopping" or:

says Bush
