Police say unmanned U.S. plane crashes in southern Pakistan
KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) — An unmanned U.S. spy plane crashed Sunday near an air base used by American forces in southern Pakistan, police said.

Villagers saw the small plane go down in a field about three miles from the Pakistani air force base in the town of Jacobabad, about 180 miles east of the Afghan border.

"We collected the debris of the 3-foot plane and handed it over to Pakistani officials at the base," said Jacobabad police superintendent Masroor Jatoi.

U.S. officials were not available for comment.
