Democrats Continue To Gain Ground On GOP (PA) - Times Herald
<snip>

COURTHOUSE - Montgomery County Democrats are leading their Republican counterparts in the number of new voters registered since the April 27 primary elections.

Of the 32,447 new registrations processed by the county through Sept. 29, 14,656 were Democrats, 9,989 were Republicans and 6,877 registered as non-partisan. The remaining registrations were for minority parties, with the Independent Party and its 498 newly registered voters leading that pack.

The tallies do not surprise county Democratic Chairman Marcel L. Groen. "We are being exceptionally well-received," he said. "I have never seen such energy, such excitement, such intensity for the Democratic Party and its candidates." Groen said the Democrats are not doing anything out of the ordinary when it comes to registering new voters. "We are just working harder at it," he said.

"The numbers are what the numbers are although it is a trend that we don't like to see," new Montgomery County GOP Chairman Ken Davis said.

3. It's Funny...
That the "liberal" media keeps claiming Pennsyvania is "in play". I live in a pretty conservative part of the state, and yet there is an incredible amount of support for Kerry around here.

5. I live in southern Chester County Pa and I am surprised by the number
of Kerry signs on cars and yards. This is a very republican area, so I am quite optimistic about our chances here. I hope PA stays blue!

4. That's my county!
what these Gopers don't understand is that the intelligentsia of Philly has moved into Narberth, Ardmore, Bala Cynwyd, Penn Valley, around Norristown including Blue Bell. Interestingly, and I've posted this before, narberth was Rethug for 230 years until the last election cycle and then...whooops! guess what?

they were dumbfounded in the boro hall - they had no idea how to handle this. It was like the walls of Jericho had come a'tumblin' down.

PA going to go for Kerry although you must understand that not far away in Delaware county, home of Weldon and other Repubs, there are a lot of Bush signs including one I saw today which read: "Nine out of 10 terrorists agree: Anybody but (large caps_ BUSH '04.

Many houses have signs and these are upper-lower class white working stiffs. If you get my drift.
