Did John Kerry ever mention this ?
I don't see this as anything short of a selective service plan.

someone had asked about a solution to increasing college costs and one of his solutions was to trade tuition for some service, but it was optional I don't see where anybody gets "draft" out of that.

I read your link, and I'm not seeing it.

As to your quote, it's obviously a misunderstanding on the part of the reporter. This has NEVER been mentioned in any of his earlier speeches. We have heard him refer to tax credits for tuition, etc. but nothing approaching this obvious minsunderstanding on the part of the reporter, and failure on the part of the editor to check on it.

Did you know you must post the headline of the article in LBN? That would be "Road to the White House: Heinz Kerry assails Bush policies."

All the better DU'ers are doing it, since it's required!
