State Republicans File Complaint Against Dave Ross - Seattle P-I
<snip>

SEATTLE -- State Republicans filed a complaint against Democratic congressional candidate Dave Ross, his campaign and KIRO-AM Radio on Monday, accusing the former radio talk show host of violating federal election law by staying on the air for about two months after announcing his plans to run.

In a complaint filed with the Federal Elections Commission, the state GOP accused Ross and KIRO Radio of illegally using the "Dave Ross Show" to promote his candidacy.

Ross, who is vying for the 8th Congressional District seat being vacated by retiring U.S. Rep. Jennifer Dunn, R-Wash., has said lawyers have assured him he broke no laws by continuing to air his three-hour weekday morning show until he formally filed for candidacy.

"We've complied with the law every step of the way," said Ross' campaign manager, Marco Lowe. "This is a desperate act by the Republicans. ... We're not going to be distracted by this baseless claim. We're focusing on the real issues: health care, jobs and protecting a woman's right to choose." Kevin McCarthy, a market manager for Philadelphia-based Entercom, KIRO's parent company, said, "We have thoroughly vetted our legal position and are doing nothing wrong."

2. Let 'em complain...serves them right
I heard at a debate last week, Reichert was asked a question about Boeing (the largest employer in the state), and he answered to the tune of he really didn't study that. And the moderator, looked at Reichert and asked him, whether he thought that should be something important to know.

Reichert is banking on spending his entire career looking for the Green River Killer as his qualification to run for a House seat. But he knows literally squat on the other issues.

There are Washington Pugs I admired and respected. However, Reichert isn't even half the caliber of the old time Pugs. And I've heard this same analysis from Pugs and Dems.
