The U.S. said it will target shipments from companies that have a history of trading in faked goods and increase prosecutions as part of an initiative to stem the inflow of counterfeit and pirated goods that U.S. companies estimate costs them $200 billion a year in lost revenue.
The 18-point plan includes a new government-run toll-free number U.S. companies can call if they fear their trademarks or copyrights are being violated and a promise to seek legislation to expand the powers of U.S. courts to issue injunctions against pirated goods
