L. Paul Bremer admits the Iraq fiasco is our fault...UNBELIEVEABLE.
Buried at the bottom of a BBC Piece on Rumsfeld's admission that there were no ties between the Baathists and Al Queda yesterday, L. Paul Bremmer admits that the disaster there is our own damned fault:

"The US also made the mistake of not containing the violence and looting quickly enough after Saddam Hussein was ousted, he said.

"We paid a big price for not stopping it because it established an atmosphere of lawlessness," he told a conference in West Virginia."

If that's not reason enough to throw *'s dumb ass out on the street, I don't know what is. Poor planning coupled with an un-bridled warmongering has lead directly to the deaths of 1000 + of our best, and the maiming of thousands more. AND FOR WHAT? FOR NOTHING MORE THAN THAT IDIOT'S PERVERTED SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG.

Fuck the FACTS! Who cares if it wasn't the Iraqis that attacked us, Bush knows a bad guy when he sees one! 40 something percent of Americans are going to vote for this dickhead? CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN THAT TO ME?

As far as I'm concerned, that moron douchebag should be in JAIL. At the very least, let's FIRE him.

I'm so pissed off right now, I can't see straight.

VOTE THESE FUCKERS OUT.

Bremer Criticizes Troop Levels
Ex-Overseer of Iraq Says U.S. Effort Was Hampered Early On

The former U.S. official who governed Iraq after the invasion said yesterday that the United States made two major mistakes: not deploying enough troops in Iraq and then not containing the violence and looting immediately after the ouster of Saddam Hussein.

Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, administrator for the U.S.-led occupation government until the handover of political power on June 28, said he still supports the decision to intervene in Iraq but said a lack of adequate forces hampered the occupation and efforts to end the looting early on.

"We paid a big price for not stopping it because it established an atmosphere of lawlessness," he said yesterday in a speech at an insurance conference in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. "We never had enough troops on the ground."

Bremer's comments were striking because they echoed contentions of many administration critics, including Democratic presidential nominee John F. Kerry, who argue that the U.S. government failed to plan adequately to maintain security in Iraq after the invasion. Bremer has generally defended the U.S. approach in Iraq but in recent weeks has begun to criticize the administration for tactical and policy shortfalls. <...>

4. it was the violence and looting by our own troops that kept provoking.
nobody out there (outside of here, that is) ever seems to remember that it was the parading of naked Iraqi captive men, the covering of heads with bags, then throwing innocent! people on the ground; u.s. troops looting and...
so on

THAT is the violence they should have put an end to sooner, like immediately.

anyway, thank you for the info, dave123williams. it is almost a relief to almost get a near admission of any responsibility from a *ite.

"VOTE THESE FUCKERS OUT."
absolutely!

5. Bremer is notorious for this sort of thing

Meaning: he avoids responsibility for the dirty work, doesn't do the hard work, and washes his hands of the matter when the endeavor he heads fails. It's a track record.

What he gets out of it is a reputation for being politically reliable and a fellow who can put a good face on bad news.
