Guantanamo General Expects Release of Prisoners

LONDON (Reuters) - Most of the prisoners being held at the U.S. military base at Guantanamo Bay are expected to be released or extradited, the deputy commander of the unit that runs the base was quoted on Tuesday as saying.

Brig. Gen. Martin Lucenti told the Financial Times the United States did not have enough evidence to prosecute all of the prisoners, alleged to be al Qaeda and Taliban fighters.

Wait. No evidence that they're terrorists? Then why have we been holding them for over two years? 4. I heard this last night

How many were tortured and will they sue Bush for war crimes? Seems the Bushies are not doing too well with their war on the terrorists. So far no indictments, nothing to show we are winning this war against the terrorist.
