SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- AT&T (T) said late Thursday that it will take a $11.4 billion non-cash asset impairment charge in the third quarter and cut more than 20 percent of its workers this year; earlier, the company had forecast cutting 8 percent of its staff. For the job cuts, the company will take a third-quarter charge of $1.1 billion.
