Blair under fire over Iraq report
7 October, 2004

Tony Blair has come under fire after an official report found Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction.

The Iraq Survey Group found no evidence he had chemical, biological or nuclear weapons when Iraq was invaded.

The Liberal Democrats called on Mr Blair to make a Commons statement on the report. The Tories said it showed the prime minister had not been honest.

But Mr Blair highlighted its finding that Saddam hoped to revive a WMD programme once sanctions were lifted.

So Tony, you did sex up the dossier. I guess David Kelly was right after all. It's a shame he was killed for telling the truth.

1. Poor Blair. His only mistake was in trusting George Bush.

11. Martha Stewart is a BIG democrat and has made contributions...
It's obvious that the Repub dominated administration wanted to make an example of her as a signal to other wealthy democrats.

9. So does the Duelfer report say sanctions were not working?
Clwyd & Co. claim that those of us who say sanctions and containment were working have to admit the opposite. Doesn't Duelfer, which I haven't read, say the capability was degrading under inspections?
