US soldier killed in northern Iraq
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20041008/wl_mideast_afp/iraq_us_toll&cid=1514&ncid=1480

"A 1st Infantry Division soldier was killed and a civilian interpreter was wounded when anti-Iraqi forces (US military terminology for insurgents) attacked their patrol with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire near Baiji," a statement said.

Another soldier was killed and two wounded in an overnight attack on their convoy near the Sunni rebel stronghold of Fallujah.

The latest deaths bring to 1,062 the number of US troops killed in Iraq since last year's invasion.

3. Iraq is not woth this
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 11:18 AM by Barkley
Its official: Saddam had no WMD and now Bush is trying to justify the invasion of Iraq by saying Saddam had an intent to get WMD.

You can't do something wrong and later try to justify it.

The 'intent to get WMD' was not the stated reason for invading Iraq; but that this country posed a grave, serious and immediate threat to the U.S.

Its now clear that none of the adminstration's weapons claims were remotely true and
the alternative theory for the invasion, control of the world's second largest reserve of oil, sounds more and more credible by the day.

Over 1060 U.S. troops have lost their lives in Iraq and thousands more have been wounded in a war that did not disarm Iraq.

Our remaining troops must come home immediately: no more deaths!

4. I thought the Kurds were our friends?
Tuz, 60 kilometres (35 miles) south of Kirkuk, is home to Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen and has been rocked by ethnic violence.

Ethnic violence? Is that like a civil war? And where the fuck are those 14 provinces that are peaceful you lying sack of shit Allawi? :grr:
