Hope Is Already Here; September Job Creation More Proof America Is Moving Again

WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) said today's Department of Labor announcement that the economy created 96,000 new jobs in September shows once again the efficacy of President Bush and the Republican Congress' economic policies.

"Today's announcement of nearly 100,000 new jobs is further proof that Republican stewardship of the economy is putting people back to work and getting American moving again," DeLay said.

"Nearly 100,000 families last month found the hope and pride of a paycheck, and now we know 236,000 more jobs were created in the last year than we even thought. Almost 2 million jobs have been created since last August. Hope isn't on the way, it's already here, and we're still doing more to sustain that hope."
