2. So is this death the same saigon?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&ncid=578&e=8&u=/nm/20041010/ts_nm/iraq_marine_dc

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A U.S. marine was killed in action in Anbar province west of Iraq (news - web sites) Saturday, the U.S. military said Sunday.

It gave no details of the circumstances of his death, which brings the U.S. combat toll in Iraq to 814 fatalities since the start of the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003.

Anbar province stretches west of Baghdad to the Syrian border and includes the rebel-held towns of Falluja and Ramadi.

....it is hard to tell. Note the sloppy reporting, "west of Iraq"???Also note the total fatality number! :eyes:

RIP soldier, you died for neo-con insanity.

4. deja vu, saigon
minimize our deaths; exagerate enemy "body count". an infant in makeshift diapers killed by shrapnel is tallied as an "enemy combatant", probably a foreign infiltrator, & a member of al q. by default.

so sad, but angrifying, too...

6. I have a question
if a soldier is wounded in Iraq, and dies of his wounds later, elsewhere, in Germany or back in the US. Is this death counted in the war total?
