Marine Killed in Action in Al Anbar # 1070

Camp Fallujah, Iraq – A Marine assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action Oct. 9 while conducting security and stability operations in the Al Anbar Province.
First MEF force protection measures preclude the release of any information that could aid enemy personnel in assessing the effectiveness of tactics, techniques and procedures.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification
