10. Mr Reeve...
Special effects made you Superman on the silver screen. Your courage and compassion made you Superman in real life. May you rest in peace.

17. More than an entertainer
Chris Reeve set out to entertain us, but somewhere along the line, he became an inspiration also.

Its ironic that he played Superman, the most inspiring of all comic heroes. Superman is all the things that are good in the world all rolled into one - strength, honesty, wisdom, courage. If there ever were a real Superman, he would have to model himself after Christopher Reeve instead of the other way around.

18. Suggestion
If Mr. Reeve's death has made you feel sad, join us in giving a unified symbol of mourning and hope for the future by changing your avatar to Superman until Christopher Reeve's funeral. It's not much, but I think it would be a respectful, unified gesture.

There are many other more useful things we can do as well, such as donating to stem cell research. So that this hero did not die in vain and our next heros will not have to die.

19. A very nice gesture
Your idea of changing avatars until the funeral is a great idea! It can show how many people were touched by his work.

Brightest Blessings!

"riding accident". Most folks will assume it was a bike. But his accident was a "horse riding accident".

I'll bet they spend as little time on him as they can, since he was a well known liberal and supporter of stem-cell research and Sen. Kerry.

It's going to be interesting to watch them try to avoid talking about him, when so many folks all over the country loved him.

Reeve was always a very ethical, honorable and brave person. Another good person's life is cut short. :(
