I guess the Iraqis don't feel like waiting until after the election to launch their attacks on our troops.

1. I wonder if they will
At least accept Bush's bribe and stop attacking for the first month that Bush is elected. Or increase their attacks if Kerry is. A little money can accomplish much, and a lot of money more.

2. This wil be the spin
If there are a lot of attacks: They want to hurt "President" Bush before the election.

If there are fewer attacks and fewer casualties: The insurgency is winding down. We've turned the corner in Iraq.

7. I've seen us "turn the corner"
several times now, with periods of relatively low casualties, always followed by surges in the casualty rate that keep gradually growing higher as time goes on.

Remember, last February we had the lowest casualty rate of the entire war, which was soon followed by the catastrophic months of April and May.

10. Wake up America
Bush should have a negative approval rating because of this cluster fuck. I will never understand my fellow countrymen and women.

11. The ones that confuse me the most
are the ones who are supposedly 'pro-life', yet they support invading sovereign nations and killing innocent civilians, so that they can have the illusion of safety here at home. Go figure.

13. The fundies who are
most fervently behind the war think these actions will jump-start the Rapture.

You cannot reason with religious superstition. Even if you believe in premillennialism, you don't have much of a god if you think he needs the bloody help of * to bring on Armageddon, but that's how * thinks of himself. He is God's little helper.
