Bank baffled by missing millions

Police have been questioning staff at a branch of Greece's central bank after more than six million euros (£4.1m) diappeared from its vault.

The Bank of Greece says the shortfall was discovered after a branch manager in the port of Kalamata asked staff to count how much cash was in the safe.

The bank says it is unclear how the money vanished.

The vault can only be opened by a number of employees together, using a combination of keys and secret numbers.
