3. That's the ticket!
This is an outrage and should be considered an in-kind contribution, no question.

8. Yes! We must fight!
The corporate media cannot be allowed to get away with supporting one candidate over another.

Without a free and unbiased press, democracy will wither.

Oh yeh, that is the idea!

11. FEC/FCC
Actually, BOTH the FEC and the FCC need to be involved in this. WE OWN the airwaves and to let Sinclair so blatently violate the public trust would mean that we truly are in the tight grip of a few arch conservatives. I'd like to believe that's not YET the case. The "value" of that period of airtime in those markets has to be worth tens of millions - a direct corporate contribution to Bush/ Cheney.

12. There is a thread discussing this
under General Discussion 2004. It has a listing
of all Sinclair stations and locations. We need
DU members in each of these markets to identify the
major advertisers on these stations in order to
send them opinions of their ads. Strictly as the
opinion of a viewer in order that their marketing
departments might improve placement and the
effectiveness of their advertising dollar.

13. Glad I donated to GELAC! You can too!
https://contribute.johnkerry.com/gelac.html?team=70

Contributing to the Kerry-Edwards 2004 General Election Legal and Accounting Compliance Fund (GELAC) provides important support for our campaign. The Federal Election Commission has just granted our request to raise funds now to cover recount expenses. Your contribution to Kerry-Edwards 2004 GELAC will provide the resources to make sure we are prepared to win the post election day battles.
In addition to recount costs, GELAC helps pay for legal and accounting expenses incurred by the campaign. By paying for these expenses with GELAC funds, the campaign is able to spend more of its limited public funds on critical campaign expenses such as media, candidate travel and direct contact with voters.
