For the second time in two weeks, a Hawai'i soldier has died while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Department of Defense said today.

Pvt. 2nd Class Jeungjin Na Kim, 23, of Honolulu, was killed Wednesday when his patrol was attacked by small-arms fire in Ar Ramadi, Iraq.

1. Not any time soon, I'm afraid.
And from the reports, it looks like it will get worse after the election when Bush is planning a major offensive. They must not be that confident of success or they'd do it before the election, so I'm worried that they expect high casualties.
