WASHINGTON — President Bush and Sen. John Kerry head toward their third and final televised debate this week with voters increasingly pessimistic about the economy, the war in Iraq and the battle against terrorism, a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows. (Related link: Latest poll results)
Unease about the country's direction has eroded Bush's standing and created an opening for Kerry. And the Democrat holds a decided advantage on the domestic issues that will be the focus of their last face-to-face encounter.

The poll, taken Saturday and Sunday, puts Kerry at 49% and Bush at 48% among likely voters. Independent candidate Ralph Nader is at 1%. That's almost unchanged from a Gallup survey taken a week earlier.

Among all registered voters, Kerry and Bush each had 48%. In the 17 states that both campaigns see as most competitive, Kerry was at 48%, Bush at 45%.

5. I think support for the monkey has always been overstated.
Only brain-dead turkeys will be voting for the #1 jerk who does nothing but blame others for his numerous failures.

8. Each debate has resulted in an increase
for Kerry, in areas that Bush had advantage in such as likability adn so on.

When the public gets the chance to see the two togetther, the Kerry secret weapon takes effect. Bush's own ineptitute.

Kerry overwelmingly won the first debate, won the second by a fair degree. The third will pay all, and this is liekly to be a Kerry win as well

The results of the first debate put Kerry back into the game. eliminating Bush's lead in five days. We are just beginining tosee the results of the second debates effect on the polls, with Kerry comingahead in the the two latest national polls Zogby and Gallop.

During the third - 5ths days after the first debate, a number of state polls reversed and placed Kerry in the lead in Pennsylvanian and Ohio.

The effects that the second debate will have on the state polls wont likely occur until Wednesday, too late for Bush's cnapaign to analyze the polls to make plans for the last debate.

By the middle of next week, the effect of the last poll should start completely kicking in. A Kerry win in the last debate should tip the polls even more firmly in Kerrys favor, if things keep going as they have been.

We can only wait.

9. Don't get too excited!! Remember we are dealing with the average
public and by definition, no one wants to have an average IQ. One
cannot escape the bell shaped curve. The average ( below above-average IQs ) will determine this election. One of the many penalties to pay for being above average!!

10. Great News
It seems that some people are FINALLY waking up and thinking about things just a little bit. Thats all it takes, open your eyes and take a quick look around you and it should be obvious theat Bush is the Worst. Presidet. Ever. The deabts ahow this and show that Kerry is a credible alternative to the Chimp's madness.

Chimpy, your clock is up!
