Tony Blair's launch of his policy programme for a third term was overshadowed last night by criticism from Labour MPs of his handling of the aftermath of the Iraq war.
Plans for an honours list for civil servants and officials who played a leading role in the conflict were described as "another Downing Street cock-up". <snip>
Alice Mahon, MP for Halifax, demanded a two-day debate on the findings of the Iraq Survey Group, which concluded last week that Saddam did not have WMD. MPs loyal to Mr Blair heckled her.
Jeremy Corbyn, the anti-war MP for Islington, received a similar reception when he claimed that two out of three people he spoke to on the doorstep cited Iraq as one of their main concerns. <snip>
