Iraqi president's new marriage sets gossip mills turning
BAGHDAD is buzzing. Not with talk about the war on terror but about President Ghazi Al-Yawer's new wife.

Public Works Minister Nesreen Mustafa Berwari is Mr Ghazi's third wife. He has two wives in Saudi Arabia.

What is keeping the gossip mills alive is that Ms Berwari is a Kurd.

some people here see the marriage as sensible alliance building. But others say it's not the time for a president to be marrying, with bombs going off and Iraqis dying...also fear that his marriage to a Kurd could cause problems with Sunni Arabs in Kirkuk and other key areas where tensions between Kurds and Arabs run high..

2. And Bush says we are concerned with womens rights in
Iraq. But I guess polygamy is just a "cultural" issue, as the black Gop Lt.Governor of maryland quaintly called, it while adroitly addressing the issue of slavery. He even used the phrase "A nation 50% slave and 50% free could not survive." But of course in the case of women,it's "cultural" and therefore acceptable. GRRRR.

16. Two Saudi wives
I wonder how many degrees of separation between him and Bin Laden? Since he's a Bush puppet, probably not many.
