Royal aide collapses at ceremony

The head of the Queen's Household collapsed just metres from the Queen as she presented honours at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The ceremony continued as a Palace nurse gave oxygen to 67-year-old Lord Chamberlain, Lord Luce, who was then taken away on a stretcher.

The former Conservative minister had been announcing the names of the people receiving honours at the investiture.

A Palace spokeswoman said Lord Luce was taken to hospital "as a precaution".

Lord Luce began stumbling over his words as he was announcing the MBEs, towards the end of the 90-minute ceremony, then collapsed. The orchestra of the Life Guards continued playing during the incident.

Luce is the one who allocated Bush's suite of rooms when he visited London in November 2003 and ran personal errands for him and Laura during their stay at Buck House.....
