Ark. Must Give Clinton Library a Tax Break
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A judge Tuesday ordered the state to approve the Clinton Presidential Foundation's request for a $3.5 million tax break for the Clinton presidential library project.

The state Department of Economic Development had claimed the nonprofit foundation was not entitled to tax breaks under a program designed to promote "business enterprises."

But Pulaski County Circuit Judge Willard Proctor Jr. ruled that the program made no distinction between qualified businesses being for-profit or nonprofit when the foundation applied for the tax break in 2002.
