Court appears poised to strike Nader (PA Ballot)
Edited on Wed Oct-13-04 12:51 PM by malachi
See ya', Ralphie baby. Another reason to believe that Kerry will win in PA.

Ralph Nader's month-long struggle to remain a presidential candidate in Pennsylvania is expected to come to a head today with a court ruling that is likely to strip his name from the ballot.

One of several judges involved in the case gave a possible hint of the court's decision yesterday when he wrote that he had never seen so much fraudulent or improper behavior from a candidate for any ballot position. If the ruling goes against Nader, he is expected to appeal.

Commonwealth Court Judge Charles P. Mirarchi Jr., in issuing an opinion on the 2,970 signatures he reviewed from Philadelphia, wrote that he had found 44 "serial signers" - people who had improperly signed their names over and over.

He wrote that the "scale, boldness and transparency" of the fraud and improper behavior he had seen in page after page of nominating petitions was something he had "never before witnessed ... in 33 years on the bench."

2. Signature collection fraud by Ralphie? I am SHOCKED.
"Commonwealth Court Judge Charles P. Mirarchi Jr., in issuing an opinion on the 2,970 signatures he reviewed from Philadelphia, wrote that he had found 44 "serial signers" - people who had improperly signed their names over and over."

But according to Ralphie, the Democrats are evil for questioning his petitions. So you think we should just excuse outright fraud because the ballot access process is "unfair", Ralphie? And how is having one person sign over and over different from voting more than once, Ralphie?

3. Strike Nader?
They should beat him about the head and neck with a stout wooden club!
