It never stops.
http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/nation/9912267.htmUNITED NATIONS - Eighty-five heads of state and government have signed a statement endorsing a 10-year-old U.N. plan to ensure a woman's right to education, health care, and to choice about childbearing. President Bush's administration did not sign because the statement mentioned "sexual rights."
A decade after the landmark International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), the statement signed by more than 250 global leaders in all fields was handed yesterday to Deputy Secretary-General Louise Frechette by media mogul Ted Turner, who founded and funds the U.N. Foundation.
Frechette called it "a brilliant idea" that will renew the commitment of governments and leaders to achieve the goals that 179 nations agreed to in Cairo, Egypt.
